Warning on the new strain from the WHO

We are far from saying that the pandemic is over. In general, milder symptoms are observed in the Omicron strain. However, do not be under the illusion that it is a mild disease.

Axar.az reports this was stated by the head of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Gebreyesus.

He stressed that new strains may emerge:

"The low rate of vaccination in many countries is particularly worrying because unvaccinated people are at higher risk of contracting a serious illness or death."
