Relations with Assad will not be normalized

We do not support the normalization of relations with the Assad regime. There will never be normalization.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Brett McCark, Middle East and North Africa Coordinator of the US National Security Council.

"US allies are trying to protect their interests in Syria. If Jordan wants to discuss border security with Syria, we will not say no. This is very different from normalization with the Assad regime. I think we should make a difference in these talks," he said.
