President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order on conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to active military service from April 1 to 30, 2022 and release of active military service servicemen to the reserve.

Axar.az reports that according to the order, he was born in 2004 and reached the age of 18 before the day of conscription (including that day), as well as born in 1987-2003, under the age of 35, served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who has not served, are not entitled to deferment of conscription for active military service or have not been released from conscription for active military service shall be called up for active military service from 1 to 30 April 2022.

From April 1 to April 30, 2022, military servicemen who have completed the term of service provided for in the Law on Military Service and Military Service shall be released from the reserve.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to take measures to implement the order.
