Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Turkish media.

During the telephone conversation, the latest situation on the Ukraine crisis and the negotiation process were discussed.

Erdogan stressed the importance of establishing a ceasefire and peace between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible, and stressed the importance of improving the humanitarian situation in the region, adding that Turkey would continue to contribute to this process.

During the conversation, Erdogan and Putin agreed to hold the next round of Russian-Ukrainian talks in Istanbul.
