Azerbaijan welcomes normalization of Russia-Turkey ties

Azerbaijan welcomes the normalization of ties between Russia and Turkey, said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

Mammadyarov made the remarks during a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Baku July 12.


He noted that good neighborly relations are a priority in Azerbaijan’s foreign policy.


“The two countries are close friends of Azerbaijan. The closer these countries are, the more it will have a positive impact on the development of Azerbaijan,” said Mammadyarov.
