A serviceman of the Azerbaijani Army died in a car accident.

Axar.az reports that the incident took place in the Gaidish-1 settlement of the Fizuli region.

Thus, Hyundai and VAZ cars collided in the area. As a result, Chief of the Azerbaijani Army Zahid Salimov died at the scene, and two people were injured.

It should be noted that by a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev last year, Salimov was awarded the Medal for Distinguished Service. He was awarded a medal for his courage and self-sacrifice in carrying out combat missions during the liberation of Azerbaijani territories, as well as for his initiative and determination.
