Activation between Baku and Yerevan - Zakharova

Russia will continue to closely assist in opening communications in the South Caucasus.

Axar.az reports the statement came from Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharov.

"We welcome the intensification of the activities of the trilateral working group chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers to open economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus," Zakharov said.

He recalled that the next meeting was held on June 3, and the parties approached each other on a number of issues. Discussions within the SPIEF continued on June 16-17.

As for the details of the case, the Russian Foreign Ministry official recommended that the question be addressed to the group's co-chairs.
