Germany will declare a state of emergency on this date

On July 8, the German government will declare a state of emergency due to tensions in gas supplies.

Axar.az reports that it was stated that the first level of readiness has now been announced in Germany as part of an emergency plan to ensure energy security. This forces the German Federal Network Agency to provide daily information on the situation with natural gas supply and constantly monitor the situation. In the second phase, the government will recommend companies to save on natural gas. Under these conditions, the situation can still be regulated, but additional price increases are possible.

Russia has cut natural gas supplies to the West via the North Stream-1 pipeline by 40%.
