Ukraine given status: EU enters war?

Giving Ukraine EU candidate status does not mean that the Union is involved in the conflict with Russia.

Axar.az reports the statement came from Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer.

"I think we need to ensure the safety of the people in these matters," he said.

According to him, Austrian citizens may think that the status of a candidate means being involved in the war, but this does not mean that.
