Stoltenberg: "Reason for rise in food prices is war"

"Reason for the rise in the food prices is neither NATO nor sanctions, the reason is Russia's ruthless war against Ukraine," said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the High-Level Dialogue on Climate and Security- Public Forum within the framework of the NATO Summit.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by foreign media.

"I understand that the increasing food prices deeply concern Africa, Near East. But I repeat: Neither NATO nor sanctions have caused the rise in food prices. The reason for this is Russia's ruthless war against Ukraine, and that's the point. If Putin stops the war or at least allows Ukrainian ships to leave the coast and bring Ukrainian grain to the global market, it will lower food prices," said NATO Secretary General.
