TV channel “Russia 1” released a program with fragments of the documentary “President. Europe and War”, which premiered on France 2 on Thursday, June 30.
Axar.az reports that the film contains audio recordings of confidential telephone conversations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and French leader Emmanuel Macron. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the publication of secret talks between the two leaders a breach of confidentiality. She was also outraged by the presence of journalists during Macron’s telephone conversations with Putin, who recorded the conversation taking place over the speakerphone on video.
“Well, it happens, because both the recorders are involved, and the translators, of course, but out of the unknown, it turns out that the whole conversation was recorded by a journalistic camera with journalists who were sitting and filming it all,” Zakharova said on the air of the program “Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” on the channel “Russia-1”.
All negotiations shown in the documentary took place before February 24, 2022. Some fragments of the communication between Putin and Macron, the confidentiality of which was violated by the French side, were shown on the air of Rossiya-1.
Putin communicates confidentially with the President of France on “you” right from the sports locker room before going to play hockey. Discussing the situation in Ukraine and compliance with the Minsk agreements, Macron calls the DPR and LPR governments “separatists.” The Russian president, in response, notes that the current Ukrainian leadership came to power as a result of a coup.
– And how ready are you to stick to agreements if you have to negotiate with what you think is the illegitimate government of terrorists? Macron says.
“Listen to me, what are you… can you hear me well?” Now, can you hear me well? I’m telling you that these so-called separatists responded to Kyiv’s proposals. They have replied. But they don’t respond to them,” Putin replies.
There have been leaks of confidential conversations between Vladimir Putin and the French president before. So, in November 2020, the French edition of Challenges published a transcript of the negotiations between Putin and Macron on the creation of a vaccine against the new coronavirus.
