The United States intends to strengthen society in Africa because it allows it to counter the actions of Russia and China.

"In general, open societies are ready to work with the United States, attract trade and investment, and counter the malign activities of China, Russia and other players.

The United States is committed to working with regional governments and international partners to build more stable and inclusive African economies," the statement said.

It was stated that the priorities include strengthening democracy and gender equality, developing of international stability and cyber security, and combating terrorism, corruption and climate change.
