Closing the borders for Russians for a year may be the most important sanction against Russia.

Axar.az reports that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said these words in an interview with "Washington Post".

According to him, this may be the most effective sanction for Russian citizens, who will then begin to influence Vladimir Putin's decisions:

"This is the only way to influence Putin. Because there is no fear for this man's life except fear. And his life depends on whether his people threaten him or not. Nothing threatens him anymore. Therefore, when his people put pressure on his decisions, there will be results and the war will end. It's understandable, it's very simple. It's not about money, gas, pipes, and even the lack of heat in the Germans in winter. Just close the border and you'll see the result."
