Merkel: Putin is not bluffing, he can strike

The West should take Russian President Vladimir Putin's words (about a nuclear strike - ed.) seriously and never treat them as a possible bluff.

Axar.az reports that former Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel said this at the opening of the Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl Foundation.

"Taking those words seriously is by no means a sign of weakness, but a sign of political wisdom that helps keep room for manoeuvre," Merkel said.
