Pashinyan: starting negotiations with Baku is important

In order to conclude a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, it is necessary to start substantive negotiations.

Axar.az reports that Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this in an interview on Public TV.

"We are not abandoning the agreements reached. In the coming days, our foreign minister will meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart. As we mentioned earlier, negotiations on the preparation of the text of the agreement should be started," Pashinyan said.

Pashinyan noted that there are no documents on the negotiation table today:

"It would be desirable to have a certain text. It would mean that the work has progressed."
