New Canadian Ambassador to Azerbaijan appointed

A new Canadian Ambassador to Azerbaijan with residence in Ankara, has been appointed.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Foreign Minister Stephane Dion has appointed Chris Cooter for the post of Canadian Ambassador to Turkey and Azerbaijan.

In this position he will succeed John Holmes.

The new ambassador will take office after presenting his credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
