A 5.9-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sea of Marmara near Istanbul, Turkey.

Axar.az reports that the country's Emergency Situations Management Agency (AFAD) released information about this.

The tremor was recorded at 04:08 local time (05:08 Baku time). As a result, 35 people were injured.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Duzce district, and its source was located at a depth of 6.8 km. The earthquake was felt in the northwest of Turkey, including the cities of Istanbul and Ankara.
