NATO: Aid to Ukraine costs us dearly

The more military successes Ukraine has, the stronger its position will be in the upcoming negotiations.

Axar.az reports that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this.

"If we provide military support to Ukraine, we can strengthen its position at the negotiating table. The best way to maintain peace is to support Ukraine," Stoltenberg said.

He admitted that helping Ukraine costs the West dearly:

"Increasing food and energy prices mean difficult times for many households in Europe. However, we must remember that the people of Ukraine pay for this every day with their blood."

Stoltenberg noted that if Putin wins the war, he and other dictators will continue to use violence to achieve their goals:

"It means more war and more suffering. It will make our world even more dangerous. It is in our self-interest that Ukraine wins."
