The United States should show understanding regarding Turkiye's possible military operation in Syria.

Axar.az reports that the Minister of National Defense of Turkiye, Hulusi Akar, said these words in response to the objection of the US side to such an operation.

"The US asked us to reevaluate. We have conveyed our concerns and thoughts and asked them to keep their promises. We emphasized that they should understand us," Akar told reporters.

It should be noted that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said in a telephone conversation with H. Akar that they are against Ankara's possible operation in Syria.
