Toivo Klaar, the special representative of the European Union (EU) on the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, went to Istanbul, Turkey, after concluding negotiations with the Armenian leadership in Yerevan.

Axar.az reports that the diplomat wrote about this on Twitter.

In his post, he noted that his visit to Yerevan was short but meaningful. The EU representative did not disclose the purpose of his visit to Turkey.

It should be recalled that T. Klaar visited Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, on December 8. Within the framework of the visit, he discussed the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan with Nikol Pashinyan, the Prime Minister of this country.
