A rally was held in front of the Swedish embassy in Ankara

A rally was held in front of the Swedish embassy in Ankara with the support of hundreds of non-governmental organizations operating in Turkiye, as well as the participation of the country's religious community.

Axar.az reports that the participants of the rally organized by the Turkiye-Azerbaijani Foundation for Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity (TADIV) demonstrated their protest against the offensive action against the "Holy Quran" in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

Protesters chanted various slogans against religious and national racism.

Member of the Security and Foreign Policy Council under the President of Turkiye, head of the Turkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation and Azerbaijan House, professor Aygun Attar read the protest statement of the participants of the action.

The statement said: "Islam means peace and contentment. An insult to Islam is an insult to humanity. This insult is unacceptable! Our Bible is inviolable."
