There have been 5 attacks on Azerbaijani embassies in the last 2 years.

Axar.az reports that Jafar Huseynzade, head of Azerbaijan's Delegation to NATO, wrote this on his Twitter page.

"Today there was an armed raid on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran. One security officer was killed and two were injured. During the last 2 years, there were 5 attacks on diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan. We strongly condemn any attack on diplomatic missions and call on Iran to comply with the Vienna Convention," he said.

It should be recalled that on January 27, 2023, at around 8:30 am Baku time, there was an armed attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The assailant destroyed the security post with a Kalashnikov automatic weapon and killed the head of the security service. Two security guards of the embassy were also injured while preventing the attack. Their condition is satisfactory.
