Schools were closed in Khoy and Salmas

On January 29, due to the earthquake in the cities of Khoy and Salmas in South Azerbaijan, schools were on strike.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the Department of Education of the West Azerbaijan province.

"Taking into account the possibility that underground riots may happen again, it was decided to strike all educational institutions in order to ensure the safety of students," the information stated.

It should be noted that 2 people died and 664 were injured as a result of the earthquake that occurred in the West Azerbaijan province.
