The statement of the former Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson that Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened London in a conversation with him before the war is not true.

Axar.az reports that this was said by the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

“No, what Mr. Johnson said is not true. Rather, it is a lie," he said.

Peskov noted that Johnson may lie on purpose:

"But it is also possible that the former prime minister did not understand correctly what Putin said to him. That's why there was misunderstanding and confusion."
