Confession from Sweden about burning the Holy Koran

Provocation actions against Islam have damaged not only the dialogue with Turkiye, but also the image of the country abroad.

Axar.az reports that Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said this at a media conference.

"The events that happened in Sweden in the last weeks made the respectful dialogue with Turkiye difficult. Individual provocations by small groups and even individuals have certain effects on Sweden's foreign image," said the prime minister.

It should be noted that the burning of the Holy Quran under the auspices of the government in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm caused serious dissatisfaction in the Islamic world, including in Turkiye, and led to the cooling of relations between Ankara and Stockholm.
