The prospects of bilateral relations between Baku and Tehran depend on the general situation in the region and the world.

Axar.az reports that Alexander Skakov, deputy director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said this.

"Azerbaijan can join the international anti-Iran coalition. I do not predict that there will be clashes between Baku and Tehran. Both countries have strong instincts to protect themselves," he said.
