Russia cannot prevent inflation

At the end of 2022 - the beginning of 2023, it became difficult for the Russian authorities to prevent the growth of inflation in the country.

Axar.az reports this was stated in an article in "Kommersant" newspaper.

"At the end of December and beginning of January, federal budget expenditures were 2.1 trillion rubles more than expected, and in the first month of this year, another 0.9 trillion rubles were taken from the treasury for these purposes," the newspaper said.

According to "Bloomberg" analyst Alexander Isakov, the level of growth of consumer prices in Russia in the current conditions will be less predictable than before. In this scenario, officials will think about additional compensation to save the ruble.
