Pushkov: "Balloon scandal" will have consequences

The appearance of a Chinese balloon in the sky over the United States could very dramatically change the relationship between Washington and Beijing.

Axar.az reports that the corresponding statement in his Telegram channel was made by Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov.

In his opinion, no one in the United States believed China’s claim that the balloon was an ordinary civilian object with a scientific mission.

As a result, even US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken decided to postpone his visit to Beijing.

Pushkov believes that the matter will not be limited to postponing Blinken’s trip.
