Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a statement after the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaras, affecting many regions.

Axar.az reports that the head of state wrote about this on Twitter.

"I want to say goodbye to all our citizens affected by the earthquake that happened in Kahramanmaras and was felt in many parts of our country. With the coordination of AFAD, all our relevant units are on alert. Our search and rescue teams were immediately sent to the areas affected by the earthquake. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health, AFAD, governorates, and all other institutions started work quickly. We also coordinated the work that started after the earthquake. We hope that together we will get out of this disaster as soon as possible and with the least damage, we continue our activities," the Turkish leader said.
