912 people lost their lives in the earthquake that occurred in Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this.

"After the Erzincan earthquake of 1939, which we experienced in the last century, we were shaken by the biggest disaster. 5385 of our citizens were injured during the incident, and 2470 people were rescued from the ruins," Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader also emphasized that a total of 2,818 buildings were destroyed.
