The number of people who died as a result of the earthquake in the north of Syria reached 1062.

Axar.az reports that more than 3,649 people were injured as a result of the incident.

It should be noted that on February 6, strong earthquakes of magnitude 7.4 and 7.7 occurred in the Turkish city of Kahramanmaras. As a result of the earthquake, according to the latest information, 3419 people died, 20426 people were injured, and 5775 buildings were destroyed.

The earthquake also caused serious destruction and casualties in Syria.
