Ukraine begins production of nuclear fuel

Ukraine will build nuclear fuel production for Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) within three years.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine released information about this.

It was reported that this product will be able to replace Russian fuel, including in the European market. Ukraine has already started production of components for VVER-1000-type fuel assemblies. Later, it is planned to start production of assemblies for VVER-440 reactors.
