Putin's invasion was a shock - Stoltenberg

NATO was ready when Russian tanks entered Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the NTO.

"Putin's invasion was a shock, but not a surprise. This attack was the culmination of a pattern of aggressive behavior. We were ready when the attack started.

Within hours, our defense plans from the Baltic to the Black Sea were put into effect. 40,000 soldiers were assigned to the NATO command, the number of NATO battle groups was doubled," Stoltenberg said.
