British intelligence plans to create a new unit that uses artificial intelligence to process information.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Tom Tugendhat, the deputy minister of the interior of the kingdom for security.

"With proper attention to the use of technologies such as artificial intelligence, we will open a new department and significantly expand our capabilities," he said.

The deputy minister noted that the new department will not monitor the British and the received intelligence information will be shared with the allies:

"The budget of the new structure has not been determined yet."

It should be noted that previously the UK government allocated considerable funds for the development of artificial intelligence.
