Stoltenberg: I will achieve Sweden's membership in NATO

My goal is to ratify Sweden's membership in the alliance after the elections in Turkey and before the summit on July 11.

Axar.az reports that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this.

He said that Sweden can still give a "green light" to NATO membership after the elections to be held in Turkiye.

"My goal is to achieve Sweden's ratification after the election in Turkiye, but before the summit in Vilnius."

Stoltenberg stressed that ultimately the decision rests with Ankara.
