Germany will start withdrawing its contingent from the Republic of Mali in June this year.

Axar.az reports that Der Spiegel newspaper published information about this.

According to the official plans of the German authorities, the UN mission in Mali will be completed by the summer of 2024.

According to the publication, it will take a long time to remove the equipment from the logistics base of the Bundeswehr in Mali. Also, about 1,700 shipping containers are needed to bring them back to Germany.

It should be noted that there are currently 1,100 soldiers in Germany's contingent in the area.
