Earthquake death toll in Turkiye rises

The death toll from devastating earthquakes in Turkiye has risen to 50,783.

Axar.az reports citing CNN Turk that Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu stated this.

Two powerful earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in the southeast of Turkiye on February 6. Tremors led to destruction in neighbouring countries, including Syria. The echoes of the earthquake reached the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East. Subsequently, the country was shaken by over 100,000 aftershocks.
