The USA wants to build a nuclear reactor in Armenia

The US is considering the possibility of building small modular nuclear reactors in Armenia and other Eurasian states.

Axar.az reports that Maria Longi, coordinator of US aid programs for Europe and Eurasia, said this.

"We are assessing the possibility of creating small modular nuclear reactors built using American technology in a number of countries, including Armenia. This can create an opportunity for greater energy independence from both Russia and China," Longi said.
