Despite the relative calm in the news from Bachmuth, there has been a significant increase in artillery fire there in recent days, comparable in number to what was seen during the fiercest battles for the city.

Axar.az reports that Hannah Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, said this.

"Most of the city is in the hands of the enemy, but the southwestern part of the city is still under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We actually control the entrance to the city," she said.
