The Ukrainian military is conducting counter-offensive operations in some areas of the front.

Axar.az reports that Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hannah Maliar informed about this.

"A defensive operation includes everything, including counter-offensive actions. Therefore, in some regions, we go to offensive actions", Maliar added.

Malyar noted that the direction of Bakhmut remains the epicenter of military operations. There, Ukrainian fighters are moving along a wide front. At the same time, the Russian aggressors want to maintain their position by going on the defensive. In the South, the enemy is on the defensive. Local battles continue there.

The Deputy Minister of Defense also noted that the invaders are actively spreading information about the counter-attack because they need to divert attention from the defeat in the direction of Bakhmut.
