White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said on Monday during a press conference that "sadly," Washington is seeing an "increasing level of aggressiveness" coming from China's military.
Axar.az reports that Kirby underlined that the United States is prepared to address this. He explained that air and maritime intercepts happen all the time, adding that even the US does them, in a "professional" manner and "inside international law." However, Beijing's two most recent intercepts were "unsafe and unprofessional," Kirby said, stressing that Washington would like to see China justify its latest manoeuvres.
"We urge them to make better decisions on how they operate in international and sea space," the US official underscored.
