No time, decision to be made on IRGC - Britain

A meeting was held in the British Parliament regarding Iran and the provocative actions of the IRGC.

Axar.az reports that Brendan Clarke Smith, a member of the British Parliament, informed the media about this.

He said that at the meeting, the representatives listed the subversive actions of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) all over the world, in the Middle East, and even on British soil, and repeatedly demanded that the IRGC be declared a terrorist:

"Iran is one of the biggest threats to Britain's national interests and internal security. However, the international community has been showing an ambiguous and wrong approach towards the fundamentalist regime of Tehran for a long time. As a result of this ambiguous approach, Iran grossly violated the nuclear agreement, expanded its regional influence and support for terrorism, and resorted to violent repression against its own citizens with impunity."

Emphasizing that the Iranian authorities are close to obtaining nuclear weapons, Smith criticized Joe Biden for not showing a strong position on this issue:

"Now the question arises: what are we waiting for?" The IRGC's activities are expanding and concerns are growing across the UK about the resulting threats. As with the issue of Ukraine, we must take decisive action on this issue. We demand that IRGC be declared a terrorist organization without wasting time."
