Turkiye will lead the NATO army in Kosovo

Turkiye will take command of the NATO contingent in Kosovo and Metohija.

Axar.az reports that the "Bloomberg" agency published information about this with reference to Turkish officials.

"After the most violent clashes in the region in the last ten years, Turkiye, which has the second largest army in the Alliance after the United States, is expected to take over the NATO mission in the Balkans, which was previously led by Italy," the information said.

It should be noted that due to the events in Kosovo, based on NATO's request, it was decided to send 1 commando platoon under the 65th mechanized infantry brigade command of the Turkish army to the region.
