The Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC), a Greek lobby operating in the United States, sent a letter to Congress against Turkiye.
Axar.az reports that the Greek publication "Kathimerini" has published information about this.
The letter stated that Congress has the authority to stop the sale of F-16s to Turkiye:
"Turkiye is accelerating its efforts to purchase F-16 aircraft and modernization kits from the United States. You need to act against it. Because Turkiye continues to threaten Greece with "war". Turkiye's new national defense minister even promised to protect Ankara's interests in the Aegean region and the "Blue Homeland". Congress has the power to stop this sale. We want members of Congress to take action and demand that Turkiye cannot buy F-16s from the United States as long as it continues to "threat war" with Greece," the statement said.
