Turkey’s intelligence to be reorganized

Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization will be reorganized, said the country’s Interior Minister Efkan Ala, TRT Haber news channel reported August 3.

The minister said that the work on reorganization of the Turkish intelligence is already being conducted.

Earlier, the country’s Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said that a number of reforms will be held in the Turkish National Intelligence Organization.

It was also previously reported that Turkey's National Intelligence Organization will have two divisions: foreign and domestic intelligence.

The decision was made after the meeting of Turkey’s Cabinet of Ministers August 1.

Additionally, Turkey's National Intelligence Organization will be subordinate to the country’s president.
