The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, was awarded the title of Hero of Turkmenistan.

Axar.az reports that the state agency of Turkmenistan has released information about this.

It is noted that the head of Turkmenistan was awarded for his great personal contribution and other services in strengthening the foundations of the republic's national independence. The awarding ceremony took place at the meeting of the People's Council, the highest representative body of the country's people's power.
