Armenia is increasing its defence spending

In 2024, the budget of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia will increase by 7.3%.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Finance Minister Vaghe Hovhannisyan said this at the government meeting.

"In 2024, 555 billion drams (about 1.5 billion dollars) will be allocated to cover the expenses of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia," he said.

According to him, this is 37.7 billion drams ($97.4 million) or 7.3% more than in 2023.
