Russia is preparing for a multi-year war in Ukraine

Russia is preparing for a long, multi-year war against Ukraine by significantly increasing its defence spending.

Axar.az reports that this was mentioned in the report of the British Ministry of Defense.

"Most likely, leaked documents from the Russian Ministry of Finance show that Moscow should increase its defence spending to about 30 per cent of total state spending in 2024. The ministry proposes a defence budget of 10.8 trillion rubles, which is equal to about 6 per cent of GDP and represents an increase of 68 per cent compared to 2023," the report said.
