Scholz called Netanyahu for a truce

During a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called on Israel for a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Christina Hoffman, an official of the German government.

"Sholtz said that Germany stands in solidarity with the people of Israel and that Germany stands by Israel. The parties discussed efforts to quickly release hostages held by Hamas, especially children, the elderly, the sick, and women," Hoffman said.
