Latvian FM wants to become the Secretary General of NATO

Latvian Foreign Minister Krisjanis Karins will submit his candidacy for the post of NATO Secretary General.

Axar.az informs that on this concerning Karins' representative.

"The diplomat is ready to contribute to the alliance with his leadership experience as prime minister, his clear understanding of the threat from Russia, his strong position on Ukraine, and his proven track record in building international consensus," the representative said.

It should be noted that the term of office of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg ends in October 2024.
